- Smooth uneven areas
- Common before laying:
- Sod
- Grass seed

- Provides a base layer for:
- New lawns
- Overseeding existing grass
- Helps roots establish more easily
πΈ Garden Beds (In-Ground)
- Mixed into native soil to:
- Improve structure
- Add organic matter (if enriched)
- Used when planting shrubs and flowers directly in the ground
π΄ Planting Trees & Shrubs
- Often blended with existing soil when planting:
- Hedges
- Trees and ornamentals
- Helps roots transition into surrounding soil

- Can be part of a mix for raised beds:
